About the project

Good Job! aims to support the transition of young people with learning disabilities and difficulties from school to adulthood and employment. The projects enables educators to identify the potential and difficulties in young people, then empowers them as Transition Mentors to support the young people through coaching and mentoring and finally reaches out and facilitates sustainable and inclusive transition policies between vocational and school education institutions and socially responsible employers.
  • About the project

Who is this project for?

The focus is on young people

with learning and behavioural difficulties and disabilities between 14 and 21 years old having one or more than one of the following disabilities: ADHD, autism, intellectual disabilities, learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia, dysgraphia), combined difficulties, and other.

The young people will be supported

in their transition to adulthood by trained educators working in special schools / high schools teaching in various educational programmes (formal/nonformal) for young learners of different ages.

OUR AIMS

We wish to empower young adults with learning disabilities and difficulties by fostering specific life skills and employability competencies to support their smooth transition into inclusive workplaces.

Why use Good Job! methodology and tools?

Young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities frequently encounter systemic barriers when moving from education into adult life and employment. Across Europe, this group often faces poor access to continuing education, segregated vocational training, and resulting high unemployment rates. These challenges underscore the vital need for robust support systems that maximize their potential.

The Good Job! project provides a comprehensive, innovative methodology and tangible resources aimed at supporting the transition of young people with learning disabilities and difficulties from school to adulthood and employment. Our overarching goal is to enable transformation and change through trained educators, youth workers, and inclusive workplace environments.

The methodology and all accompanying outputs are new, digital, and freely accessible on our bespoke digital learning platform. By using these innovative, tested tools, you can actively reduce the potential for learner drop-out, overcome biases, and improve the chances for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to secure independence.
