Good Job! A European Project Supporting Young People with Disabilities on Their Journey to Adulthood
Imagine being 17. School is over, and the world feels wide open—but also uncertain. If you live with a learning difficulty, a disability, or a condition like ADHD, autism or dyslexia, that leap into adult life can feel a lot harder than it should.
That’s where Good Job! comes in.
This Erasmus+ project is designed to support young people with disabilities and special educational needs (SEND) as they transition from education into work and independent life. It aims to fill the gap between school and employment—a gap that is often filled with confusion, low expectations, and missed opportunities.

The idea for Good Job! didn’t come out of nowhere. It grew out of a shared observation across Europe: young people with disabilities often struggle to move forward once school ends. According to EU data, they are twice as likely to leave education early and face much higher unemployment rates. The transition from the protective environment of school to the unpredictability of adult life is full of invisible obstacles—especially when support systems disappear. Our needs analysis, grounded in both research and the real-world experience of our partner organisations, confirmed a clear gap: educators need better tools to assess potential and provide tailored guidance, while schools and employers need practical strategies to be more inclusive. Good Job! was born as a response to this reality.
The approach is practical and people-focused. The project trains educators to become Transition Mentors, professionals equipped to recognise potential, support learners through coaching and mentoring, and help build bridges between schools and inclusive employers.
Because everyone deserves a real shot at building their own future.
To make this happen, the partnership is developing tools that can actually be used in classrooms and training centres across Europe. There’s an assessment tool that helps identify life and employability skills. There’s a training programme for educators, full of practical strategies. There’s a toolkit for schools and workplaces to make their spaces more inclusive. And everything is translated, accessible, and free to use.
But what really brings this project to life are the people behind it.
From France, edEUcation SAS leads the way with years of experience in international cooperation and teacher training. In Croatia, DIP has created innovative mentoring programmes and works daily with youth with disabilities and their families. Italy’s Ergon focuses on intersectional discrimination and supports young Deaf people navigating education and employment. Spain’s DomSpain brings digital learning expertise and a strong background in adult education. And from the Czech Republic, Jabok contributes its unique blend of social pedagogy and inclusive values as a vocational training institute.
Together, these partners form a strong, diverse team. Each brings their local perspective, their networks, and their deep commitment to inclusion.
We called it Good Job! because it's not just about work—it's about dignity. It's what we want every young person to hear when they try, when they grow, when they succeed. And with the right support, they will.
